Adopt a Deer Program

Since 2019, the Ile-Balkhash Reserve, together with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF of Russia), has been working on the Adopt a Deer program.

Its purpose is to attract sponsorship funds to purchase deer and improve their conditions in the enclosure.

The program provides an opportunity to conduct long-term work on the restoration of the free-living population of Tugai red deer in the Ile-Balkhash region.

«Foster parents» receive an adoption certificate, which gives them the right to use information about participation in the program for advertising purposes.

A sign with information about the adoptive parent is placed on the enclosure with a deer. This allows the reserve to disseminate information about the program and tell a wide range of visitors about the good work in which the trustees participate.

Regular assistance from partners: individuals, companies and organizations, allows the reserve to continue its work on adaptation, cultivation and breeding of deer and the formation of free-living populations.
