Environmental education
The educational activities of the reserve contribute to the development of ecological culture among residents of both the nearest settlements and the region as a whole.
Environmental education helps to form a positive attitude towards a specially protected natural area, an understanding of its role and place in preserving biodiversity and maintaining an ecological balance.
Environmental education activities do not duplicate the work of public education bodies. Its main goal is to ensure the widest possible support for the idea of caring for the environment. The formation of an ecological culture consists of the dissemination of environmental knowledge, as well as the education of rational and careful use of natural resources. The result of such work should be an idea of the reserve as a special element of the relationship between society and nature, and the need for its strict protection.
The Department of Tourism, Recreation and Environmental Education includes 4 employees: the head of the department, an environmental education specialist, a recreation and tourism specialist and a tour guide.
Its employees carry out work in three directions:
- The development of eco-tourism and sightseeing activities is aimed at creating a favorable investment climate, attracting extra-budgetary funds, and creating the potential for developing partnerships with the local population and with third-party organizations.
- The formation of a socio-cultural environment with an ecological orientation makes it possible to increase the social significance of the reserve, attract partners and targeted investments.
- Creation of representative space and design developments, sites for ecological cultural activities, formation of the image of the reserve as a repeater of the best media, interactive technologies and design solutions, attraction of extra-budgetary funds through the sale of goods and services at representative sites.
